The Sims 2 Body Shop je výkonný nástroj umožňující navrhovat jedinečné a rozmanité Simíky, se kterými budete moci hrát ve hře The Sims 2 a podělit se o ně s přáteli. Můžete vytvářet vlastní obsah, například oblečení, odstíny pleti, barvy očí, vlasy nebo brýle, které bude možné použít v libovolné kombinaci k vytváření zcela unikátních Simíků.
Pomocí nástroje The Sims 2 Body Shop také budete moci ovlivňovat tváře Simíků. Budete moci vybírat z celé řady typů tváří a dále upravovat i ty nejmenší detaily, například délku nosu, sílu obočí, vykrojení rtů a tvar brady.

Úplná uživatelská příručka je k dispozici na adrese http://www.thesims2.com.
Instalace:
Program The Sims 2 Body Shop je součástí hry The Sims 2 a bude automaticky nainstalován s hrou. Není nutné provádět samostatnou instalaci.
Instalace nového obsahu:
Před instalací nového obsahu je třeba ukončit hru The Sims 2 i program The Sims 2 Body Shop. Důležitá poznámka: NEINSTALUJTE spolu s hrou The Sims 2 sadu Body Shop Maxis Starter Content Pack. Tento obsah je již součástí hry The Sims 2; instalací sady přes instalaci hry The Sims 2 může dojít k poškození dat hry.
Klávesové zkratky:
Program The Sims 2 Body Shop umožňuje používat klávesové zkratky k zobrazení náhledu Simíků. Řadu těchto zkratek lze používat v kombinaci a získat tak přesné zobrazení Simíka.
F3 - přepíná mezi režimem volné a pevné kamery. V režimu volné kamery můžete pomocí myši otáčet kamerou všemi směry:
* Klepnutí a tažení levým tlačítkem myši - otáčení kamery kolem Simíkovy hlavy.
* Klepnutí a tažení pravým tlačítkem myši - ovládání přiblížení kamery. Pohybem myši od sebe kameru oddálíte. Pohybem myši k sobě kameru přiblížíte.
* Klepnutí a tažení pravým i levým tlačítkem myši současně - změna středního bodu, na který je kamera zaměřena.
F5 - zapíná a vypíná trojrozměrnou místnost. Pokud je ve složce Dokumenty\EA Games\The Sims 2\ uložen soubor userBkg.bmp, bude tento obrázek zobrazen jako pozadí.
F6 - zobrazí Simíka v pozici s předpaženýma rukama. Můžete si tak prohlédnout části Simíka, které mohou být v normální pozici skryté. Chcete-li obnovit normální pozici Simíka, klepněte na kteroukoli miniaturu Simíka nebo miniaturu obsahu.
F7 - v režimu pevné kamery zobrazí Simíka s největším oddálením.
F8 - v režimu pevné kamery zobrazí Simíka s největším přiblížením.
F9 - zapíná a vypíná uživatelské rozhraní.
< and > - otáčí Simíka. (Na těchto klávesách je také zobrazena čárka a tečka.)
Možnosti zobrazení:
Stisknutím kláves ALT+ENTER můžete přepínat mezi zobrazením programu The Sims 2 Body Shop v okně (výchozí nastavení) a na celé obrazovce.
Vytvořením kopie zástupce programu The Sims 2 Body Shop můžete ručně nastavit rozlišení obrazovky 800x600 bodů.
Chcete-li vytvořit zástupce, klepněte pravým tlačítkem myši na soubor TS2BodyShop.exe a vyberte příkaz Vytvořit zástupce. Upravte zástupce klepnutím pravým tlačítkem myši a zvolením příkazu Vlastnosti. Na konci řádku Cíl napište za existující text mezeru a text "-r800x600" (bez uvozovek).
Chcete-li nastavit rozlišení obrazovky 1024x768 bodů, postupujte stejným způsobem, ale zadejte parametr "–r1024x768".
Známé problémy:
Problém: Na grafických kartách s minimální požadovanou pamětí (32 MB) mohou být rozmazané textury.
Řešení:
* Spusťte program The Sims 2 Body Shop v rozlišení 800x600 (pokyny jsou uvedeny výše v části Možnosti zobrazení).
* Nastavte rozlišení monitoru na 800x600 pixelů.
Problém: Projekty barvy pleti, které byly uloženy pomocí předběžné stažené verze programu The Sims 2 Body Shop, nebudou správně načteny na obrazovce Load Saved Projects (Načíst uložené projekty) v této verzi. Projekty také nelze úspěšně importovat do hry. Tento problém se netýká vlastních tónů pleti, které již byly úspěšně importovány pomocí předběžné verze programu The Sims 2 Body Shop.
